June 25, 2018 - - John 16:13-15 Doctrine has legs

When the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to the you. All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

John 16:13-15 ESV

Be careful with compromise.

Be careful with what false prophets focus on

rather than what Christ focuses on.

Doctrine has legs, what you believe moves you into the

direction of your beliefs--

because their doctrines are wrong their actions are wrong.

Spirit of Truth, there are so many voices in our world calling out their version of truth without any reference to God. Spirit of Truth, guide us into all truth as it is found in Jesus Christ alone. Work Jesus' truth into us so that in word, thought and action our lives will conform more and more to Christ all to the glory of the Father. Amen.
