April 26 - - Matthew 6:6 Brief Instruction on Prayer

But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father in heaven who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

Matthew 6:6 ESV

Prayer is to be exercises at set times each day. It is to be a holy habit that we guard zealously.

This nugget of wisdom was recently given to me:

          "He who prays alone on impulse

          will soon have no impulse to pray."

Father, Rewarder of those who seek You, send us Your Spirit so that we will be drawn to faithful prayer. Father of mercy, grant us a greater intimacy with Jesus Christ, in Whose Name we are called "sons" and "daughters" of the Most High God. Amen.
